About the position

The Learning and Organization Development Specialist at Denver Health is responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating leadership development and learning solutions. This role collaborates with HR and OD teams to provide strategic development opportunities that enhance leader competencies, thereby improving individual, departmental, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develops curriculum and courses based on business needs.
  • Transforms complex ideas into innovative learning solutions using modern methodologies.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to create effective learning solutions.
  • Aligns course content with leadership competencies and updates curricula as needed.
  • Designs and delivers various training programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyzes requirements and consults with experts to develop relevant curriculum.
  • Reviews and modifies existing learning programs, recommending changes as necessary.
  • Delivers instructor-led training sessions in both classroom and virtual settings.
  • Facilitates group dynamics and utilizes organizational culture insights in training.
  • Applies adult learning principles in teaching across various formats.
  • Onboards and coaches leaders to facilitate learning sessions and team-building exercises.
  • Coaches individual leaders and teams, measuring progress through exercises.
  • Researches impactful learning technologies for solution delivery.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning needs.
  • Consults with management and employees to understand training requirements and changes in policies.
  • Documents course development processes using project management applications.
  • Communicates learning metrics to management to drive organizational change.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of learning solutions against business objectives.
  • Enhances the efficiency of learning operations and instructional design methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three years of experience in adult training, learning and development, or curriculum design and instruction required.
  • Experience designing learning solutions using instructional design methodologies required.
  • Familiarity with blended learning, WebEx, webinar, eLearning, micro-learnings, and podcasts preferred.
  • Basic understanding of OD theories and practices.
  • Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, and ARCS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning practices and classroom management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training development software like Storyline 360 and Adobe Captivate.
  • Basic working knowledge of Learning Management Systems preferred.

  • Experience with Visio and Smart Sheets preferred.
