About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at the law firm in Dadeland is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing employee training programs aimed at fostering professional growth and enhancing the necessary skill sets to meet the firm's goals. This role involves collaboration with department heads to identify learning needs and ensure the effective execution of training initiatives, all while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training programs tailored to meet specific business needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments by working with department heads to identify skills gaps.
  • Create course materials, manuals, and other instructional content.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Maintain detailed records of employee training and development activities.
  • Track participation, collect feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions.
  • Support employees in accessing learning and development resources.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching for employees as needed.
  • Guide new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring they receive relevant training.
  • Gather feedback from participants and department heads to assess training effectiveness.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure learning outcomes.
  • Continuously refine and update training content to ensure alignment with company objectives and industry trends.
  • Ensure that all training programs comply with industry regulations and legal standards.
  • Prepare reports on training effectiveness, completion rates, and development progress.
  • Assist with audits and ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Learning and Development.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training technologies.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a law firm is a huge plus.
