About the position

The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist at Primoris Energy Services will play a pivotal role in leading the L&D initiatives across various Business Segments. This position is designed for an individual who is committed to excellence and possesses the knowledge and expertise to support the development of a competitive workforce. The L&D Specialist will collaborate with L&D professionals and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement and refine L&D processes and standards, ensuring that the organization builds critical competencies necessary for success. In this role, the L&D Specialist will create and execute a comprehensive learning and training vision tailored to the specific needs of the Business Segment. This includes developing and continuously improving training programs that align with the company's services and client needs. The Specialist will oversee the identification and development of competency and curriculum maps, working cross-functionally with SMEs to capture and transfer essential business knowledge and skills. The position requires designing and delivering various training formats, including e-learning courses, interactive learning events, and hands-on workshops. The L&D Specialist will also manage content within the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure it reflects the most current offerings and will partner with LMS Administrators to assign role-specific learning opportunities to employees. Additionally, the Specialist will work closely with Talent Management and other L&D professionals to customize learning and career development paths for employees, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a Business Segment learning and training vision, strategies, and programs.
• Work with L&D/Training professionals and stakeholders to develop and continuously improve the Business Segment L&D/Training program.
• Align company services with client needs through an understanding of business plans and operations.
• Oversee the identification, purchase, development, and continuous improvement of Business Segment competency and curriculum maps.
• Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to define key content areas and capture business-critical knowledge and skills.
• Design and deliver e-learning courses, interactive learning events, and hands-on workshops tailored to segment needs.
• Manage Business Segment content in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Partner with LMS Administrators to assign role-specific learning opportunities to employees.
• Manage L&D Stakeholder communications and report on progress made on L&D/Training goals.
• Customize Business Segment Learning and Career Development Paths for employees.

Requirements

• Direct experience in a L&D/Training role as a Facilitator or Workplace Trainer.
• Approximately 2-5 years' experience in Business Segment/Craft/Operationally focused L&D and Training Programs.
• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, mining, or maintenance industries is desired.
• Clear commitment to excellence and continuous improvement with proven experience in stakeholder communications.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, implementing, and improving learning and training programs.
• Expertise or interest in Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Design, and L&D process development.
• Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Organizational Quality (OQ) Systems.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees, including frontline team members and executive leadership.
• Experience working with diverse and dispersed workforces.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Skilled in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
