The Learning and Development Specialist at WellLife Network plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of staff across the agency. Reporting directly to the Director of Training, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering both regulatory and staff development training programs for current and new employees. The specialist will ensure that all training meets the necessary compliance standards set by State and Federal regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures. This includes maintaining certifications where required and ensuring that all instructor training certifications are active and in good standing. In this role, the Learning and Development Specialist will act as the Network Administrator for the internal and external Learning Management Systems. This involves scheduling staff for training sessions, facilitating training, generating reports, and tracking and retaining records of all staff training throughout the agency. The specialist will coordinate ongoing training and in-service sessions for the entire agency, which will range from entry-level staff to upper management, and will be delivered both virtually and in classroom settings. The position also requires the creation and updating of training curriculums, as well as facilitating new hire orientations to meet the agency's needs. The specialist will assist in preparing for state audits by maintaining employee training records and ensuring course completions are documented. Additionally, the role involves coordinating invoice approvals and renewing contractual agreements with training agencies, such as the American Heart Association. The Learning and Development Specialist will participate in committee meetings and supervisory meetings to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of training provided. Effective communication with staff during training sessions and through various channels is essential, as is providing support for the day-to-day operations of the department, including ordering supplies and scheduling meetings.
