About the position

At Dr. Squatch, we are on a mission to elevate men's personal care with our line of natural, high-performance products. As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives and employee engagement activities. This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Marina del Rey, CA, and requires a hybrid work schedule, with at least three days per week in the office. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Employee Experience & Learning, contributing to a dynamic team focused on enhancing the skills and engagement of our workforce. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering impactful training programs tailored to the unique needs of Dr. Squatch. You will analyze employee engagement data to inform L&D strategies and collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging learning content. Your expertise in instructional design will be crucial as you design and facilitate various training programs, utilizing methods such as instructor-led sessions and eLearning. You will also manage the logistics of training programs, ensuring smooth scheduling, registration, and venue coordination. Additionally, you will support company-wide performance and development milestones, including Individual Development Plans and Annual Performance Reviews. Your role will involve elevating the quality of our L&D materials by applying design best practices and utilizing tools like Google Slides to create visually appealing presentations. You will track program completion and feedback, using data to continuously improve our training offerings. Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of impactful training programs.
  • Analyze employee engagement data related to Learning and Development.
  • Assist in L&D program ideation tailored to Dr. Squatch's needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging learning content.
  • Design and facilitate training programs using various instructional methods.
  • Manage logistics for training programs, including scheduling and registration.
  • Manage eLearning platform requests and users.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to keep learners informed.
  • Track program completion and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support communication and follow-up with annual performance and development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources Development, Education, Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong instructional design skills with a focus on adult learning principles.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in Google Slides and design principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to improve learning programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
