About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Gracie's Operation is responsible for conducting training for the Pipeline Construction Division staff and drafting various operational manuals. This role focuses on assessing developmental needs, designing and implementing training programs, and facilitating knowledge transfer within the division.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct developmental needs assessments for business units and teams.
  • Translate assessment outcomes into solution-based program development.
  • Support the Pipeline Construction Division with knowledge transfer functions.
  • Evaluate operational issues and recommend developmental solutions.
  • Design and implement learning and development programs, including testing and evaluation procedures.
  • Conduct knowledge and skill-based development sessions.
  • Coordinate skill development components of pay programs.
  • Assist with legacy knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation sessions for the Utility Services Team.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and action item teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • 3 years of professional experience in learning, training and development, technical training, or organizational development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and adult learning concepts.
  • Ability to perform needs assessments and translate them into developmental programs.
  • Experience in managing vendors and evaluating their performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
  • Master's degree in education, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development.
