About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at Peoples Gas System is responsible for fostering a culture of learning within the organization by aligning development solutions with business strategies. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering innovative learning programs that support team members and leadership throughout their careers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy leadership development materials, including eLearning and facilitator guides.
• Manage projects and design instruction for large-scale content development initiatives.
• Prioritize learning and development projects and determine resource requirements.
• Review and assess selection assessments/testing and recommend enhancements.
• Facilitate training and develop strategies for team members to become better trainers.
• Produce actionable metrics to improve leadership development program effectiveness.
• Support performance management full cycle administration for the company.
• Conduct skills gap analysis to identify training needs.
• Act as liaison for the LMS platform and manage content curation.
• Manage the Employee Engagement Survey process across the organization.
• Establish relationships with external educational institutions and training vendors.
• Collaborate with HR to design and deliver effective training sessions for new hires.
• Stay updated on adult learning trends and implement new methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training, Organizational Development, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources or Leadership Development.
• 3 years specializing in adult learning principles and leadership development.

Nice-to-haves

• CPLP credentials preferred.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
• Proven experience leading and influencing without authority.
