The Learning & Development Specialist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is responsible for enhancing the health and safety of children through educational initiatives and community engagement. This role involves providing training, facilitating programs, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective learning materials and strategies. The specialist will also conduct home safety visits and assist with car seat safety education, ensuring that caregivers in high-risk neighborhoods receive the necessary support and resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home safety visits to install equipment and educate caregivers in high-risk neighborhoods.
• Assist with car seat installation and injury prevention topics at community events and health fairs.
• Provide training and facilitation services to designated audiences, monitoring training effectiveness.
• Participate in the planning, creation, design, and development of educational programs and materials.
• Collaborate with others to serve as a resource for adult learning models and instructional design.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise and support team members in problem identification and resolution.
• Provide end-user support and ensure service level agreements are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30lbs.
• Willingness to occasionally work nights/weekends based on community events schedule.
• Must become a Certified Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) within 3 months of hire.
