About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Riverstone Logistics is responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and conducting learning and development programs for employees. This role focuses on assessing training needs, designing unique learning programs, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assess learning and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills learning for employees and customers.
  • Develop unique learning programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Present learning and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Analyze results of tests and assessments and evaluate need for retraining or edits to existing requirements.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in learning and development.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of training experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience with needs assessment, content creation, workshop facilitation, and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia learning platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research learning options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective learning and development programs.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
