The Learning & Development Specialist at UCLA will play a pivotal role in enhancing the ongoing learning and development of IT staff within the university. This position is designed to assess the development needs of the IT workforce and to create, design, and deliver tailored programs and development content that align with the university's mission. The Specialist will be responsible for evaluating the success of development plans and ensuring that employees are able to maximize their learning opportunities. This includes designing and delivering e-learning courses, workshops, and other training formats, as well as assisting managers in developing their team members effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, the Specialist will be tasked with designing learning paths that facilitate the upskilling of employees through defined career tracks. A significant aspect of this role will involve the design, build, and deployment of the ITS Academy, which aims to provide structured learning opportunities for IT staff. The Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts and managers to identify key learning areas and deliver relevant opportunities that respond to the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
