About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Caterpillar is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs within the IT division. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills through leadership development, technical learning, and effective communication strategies, contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determining the learning needs of employees for professional and organizational development objectives.
  • Develop learning course or program communications, arrange logistics, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver training sessions with a focus on business-identified learning objectives and an adult learner-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with others to design and implement training assessments, conduct evaluations, and prepare reports.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in training and development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of consulting techniques and roles in providing guidance to clients.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to diverse situations.
  • Experience in developing training solutions and programs.
