About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at WarHorse Gaming is responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating training programs that enhance employee skills and support organizational goals. This role involves coordinating various training initiatives, including New Hire Orientation and leadership development, while ensuring alignment with the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate, coordinate, and schedule training programs including New Hire Orientation and guest service training.
  • Accountable for departmental performance and the accuracy of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Keep informed of new developments within the department and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Practice positive and ethical relations with team members and guests.
  • Develop and oversee execution of training based on strategic organizational needs.
  • Design training programs for employee skill enhancement and career development.
  • Perform gap analyses to determine appropriate training delivery options.
  • Research and develop curriculum that meets business needs and enhances learning effectiveness.
  • Construct leader guides, participant manuals, and course evaluations to support training initiatives.
  • Consult with department leaders to ensure training materials are up-to-date and effectively utilized.
  • Follow safety standards and maintain knowledge of industry developments.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
  • Minimum three years of Learning and Development/Training experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and LMS.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Training, Facilitation, OD and/or HR certification preferred.
