About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Peoples Gas System is tasked with fostering a culture of learning within the organization. This role involves aligning learning and development initiatives with the company's business strategy, designing and delivering innovative training programs, and supporting team members and leadership throughout their career progression.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy leadership development materials, including eLearning and facilitator guides.
• Manage projects and design instruction for large-scale content development initiatives.
• Review and assess selection assessments/testing, making recommendations for enhancements.
• Facilitate training and develop strategies to improve team members' training and facilitation skills.
• Produce actionable metrics to enhance the effectiveness of the leadership development program through data analysis.
• Act as a liaison for the LMS platform and manage the Kudos recognition system.
• Manage the Employee Engagement Survey process, including reporting and tracking.
• Establish relationships with external educational institutions and training vendors.
• Collaborate with the HR Team to design and deliver effective training sessions for new hires.
• Stay updated on adult learning trends and implement new methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training, Organizational Development, or related field, or relevant experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
• At least five years of experience in Human Resources, Leadership Development, or related fields, with three years specializing in adult learning principles.

Nice-to-haves

• CPLP credentials preferred.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading and influencing without authority.
