About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct learning and development programs for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses learning and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills learning for employees and customers.
  • Develops unique learning programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Presents learning and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Analyzes results of tests and assessments and evaluates need for retraining or edits to existing requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in learning and development.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia learning platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research learning options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective learning and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of training experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience with needs assessment, content creation, workshop facilitation, and e-learning authoring tools.
