About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at WarHorse Gaming is responsible for developing, facilitating, coordinating, and scheduling various training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and career development. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that training aligns with the strategic needs of the organization and supports the overall mission and values of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate, coordinate, and schedule training programs including New Hire Orientation and guest service training.
  • Accountable for departmental performance and the accuracy of policies and procedures.
  • Keep informed of new developments within the department and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Maintain positive and ethical relations with team members and guests.
  • Design and implement training programs for employee skill enhancement.
  • Perform cause, knowledge, or gap analyses to determine training needs.
  • Research and develop curriculum that meets business needs.
  • Construct leader guides, participant manuals, and course evaluations to support training.
  • Consult with department leaders to ensure training materials are up-to-date and effectively utilized.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to company safety standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends through continuing education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum three years of Learning and Development/Training experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and LMS.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Training, Facilitation, OD and/or HR certification preferred.
