About the position

The Learning Development Specialist at Henley Enterprises Inc. is responsible for managing compliance training initiatives across various functional areas. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, consulting with subject matter experts to refine learning objectives, and coordinating the development of online training materials. The specialist will also maintain budgets and timelines for LMS initiatives and enhance the user experience through effective reporting and tracking of training metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Project Manager for compliance training initiatives across all functional areas.
  • Collect and organize input from a cross-functional committee to identify training and development needs.
  • Consult with subject matter experts to refine learning objectives and course content.
  • Coordinate the collection of subject-matter materials for online courses and self-study programs.
  • Liaise with vendors specializing in adult-learner online training to develop compatible training materials.
  • Maintain budgets and timelines for all approved LMS initiatives.
  • Enhance end-user experience and leverage reporting capabilities for management use.
  • Monitor course development to ensure content is effective and engaging for adult learners.
  • Maintain learning content on the LMS platform and flag courses needing updates.
  • Create and deploy reports and surveys to assess learner comprehension and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management experience, preferably in a multi-unit retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task various projects.
  • Ability to learn and operate learning delivery and collaboration platforms.

  • Associate degree with significant relevant or transferable work history.
