Meyer Distributing is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join our Human Resources department. The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing targeted curricula that foster a student-centered approach, accommodating diverse learning styles to ensure academic success. This position requires collaboration with educators to enhance teaching methodologies and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the educational community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. A certification in Instructional Design or Project Management is a plus. The role demands a minimum of two years of experience in content development, with a strong emphasis on integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, including Captivate and Final Cut Pro. In this position, the Learning and Development Specialist will create electronic training materials for all positions, which includes writing scripts, audio recording, videography, editing, and production. They will also be responsible for the maintenance and functionality of the HRIS Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that training assignments are properly assigned and that compliance is monitored. The role includes creating media and advertisements for HR and recruiting purposes, assisting with employee engagement activities, and administering cyber security training and phishing campaigns. The Specialist will have opportunities to lead training presentations, both in-person and virtually, and may travel to outside locations as needed.
