About the position

Asset Performance Networks (AP-Networks) is a growing Technology & Data Analytics firm, headquartered in Washington, D.C., with additional offices in Houston, Texas; Calgary, Canada; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Perth, Australia; and Singapore. The company focuses on driving Project & Turnaround Excellence in Capital Intensive Industries, serving over 85 marquee clients including BP, Chevron, Neste, Shell, YARA, OCI, Guardian, Sitech, and LyondellBassell. The AP-Learning Systems division is dedicated to providing targeted training programs that enhance the learning curve by leveraging the expertise of subject matter experts with extensive industry experience. The division aims to optimize the use of leading digital tools and technology while implementing various learning and development techniques tailored to different learning styles. The Learning and Development Specialist will play a crucial role in creating, editing, and managing training content using Articulate Rise 360 and Tovuti LMS. This position involves collaborating with subject matter experts to establish learning objectives, coordinating requirements gathering, and ensuring the consistency and compliance of the training program guidelines. The specialist will also be responsible for developing and managing Competency/Skill Matrices and Training Plans, maintaining detailed records of training activities, and creating engaging social media content. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education and experience in English, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of successful adult learning or training experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine training content in various formats, such as eLearning, workshops, and presentations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create learning objectives for training topics.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering for training programs.
  • Standardize, arrange, and prepare content, exercises, and training scenarios.
  • Develop and manage Competency/Skill Matrices and Training Plans.
  • Help maintain and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Maintain detailed records of training and development activities and participant progress.
  • Create engaging social media content across various platforms.
  • Work as a member of a small multifunctional team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of successful adult learning or training experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology for teaching purposes.
  • Experience creating training documents and facilitating learning through various media.
  • Previous experience creating and building curriculum within a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional English language skills (written and verbal), including grammar and spelling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Articulate Rise 360 and Tovuti LMS preferred.
  • An eye for good design, capable of producing visually appealing training materials.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
