About the position

The Learning Development Specialist is responsible for delivering training programs to new hires in a call center environment. This role requires onsite presence and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate training sessions that may run from early morning to late evening. The specialist will also assess training needs, suggest improvements to training programs, and compile training reports.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training programs to new hires prior to endorsement to nesting.
• Answer questions from trainees in a timely manner and ensure adherence to training rules and regulations.
• Provide coaching on specific areas of trainee performance.
• Set training expectations and encourage participation and interaction during sessions.
• Participate in the design of training programs and suggest improvements.
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify problems or needs of trainees and seek solutions.
• Compile training reports and maintain training documents for audits.
• Attend meetings, calibrations, and conference calls as required.
• Disseminate information and escalate issues as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Three to five years of related experience in training and development.
• Current licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) experience preferred but not required.
• Prior banking experience preferred.
• Experience in training delivery and facilitation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a call center environment.
