About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at Tews Company plays a crucial role in enhancing employee wellbeing and productivity through the development and delivery of training programs. This position involves designing and implementing effective educational methods to improve individual and organizational performance, including new hire orientations and ongoing training experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Assistant Manager of Learning & Development to understand departmental training objectives.
  • Prepare and facilitate engaging training experiences.
  • Support all aspects of the ambassador program.
  • Participate in curriculum development, scheduling, preparation, and data collection for training.
  • Design and implement various training materials using different media formats.
  • Maintain a database for training materials and data collection.
  • Conduct follow-up studies to evaluate Learning and Development programs and modify as necessary.
  • Stay updated on learning trends, theories, and technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively with management and HR staff.
  • Support the Human Resources team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Three years of experience implementing employee development programs.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Strong motivation in the adult learning space and a desire to stay informed on training trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate, Brainier, Canva, and related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with e-learning course development.
  • Familiarity with the latest learning technologies.
