About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Polyglass USA, Inc. is responsible for partnering with various functional areas to develop, implement, and facilitate learning content. This role involves managing individual employee learning plans, leading performance management processes, and ensuring optimal development of employees through effective training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Presents learning information to all employees using various instructional techniques or formats, such as classroom/virtual facilitation and role-playing.
  • Develops training programs using group discussions, surveys, lectures, simulations, and videos.
  • Consults with employees and managers on Individual Development Plans creation and accountability.
  • Facilitates and administers compliance training and other courses on an ongoing basis.
  • Creates, organizes, and presents onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Launches and administers the company's annual Performance Management process and associated technologies.
  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of programs, policies, and strategies for training and organizational development.
  • Reviews evaluations/assessments regarding the effectiveness of training courses and adjusts programs as necessary.
  • Develops, manages, and approves day-to-day operations, processes, employee records, templates, and procedures for the LMS.
  • Creates and provides ongoing reporting and analysis regarding performance of programs and content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of classroom facilitation experience, including virtual communication tools and course development.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Learning and Development Specialist or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as an administrator in Talent Management technology, including LMS and Performance Management Systems.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Instructional Design knowledge preferred.
