About the position

Come build scalable, authentic learning experiences that will shape the next generation of engineers and project managers across Amazon Robotics (AR). We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to join the Learning Experience and Technology (LExT) team. The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for designing and developing engaging and immersive learning experiences that meet the needs of our clients and learners. The successful candidate will have a passion for learning design, a creative mindset, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles. He or she will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design or a related field, with a strong track record of creating impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals.
  • Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions.
  • Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.
  • Apply adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of learning content development processes.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate roadblocks and risks as needed, making appropriate trade-offs.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Suite, CAD, Visio etc. with prior experience in using a Learning Management Systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and making data-driven improvements.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in learning design is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field.
  • Experience authoring content using Xyleme (Learning Content Management System).
  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications.
  • Able to write effective instructional texts and scripts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and cordial manner through oral, written, and visual communications with others at all levels in the company.
