About the position

The Learning Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Design role at Visa involves creating innovative and effective learning solutions that enhance product knowledge and management excellence across the organization. This position is part of Visa University, which focuses on learning and development, and requires collaboration with subject matter experts and various teams to deliver impactful training experiences. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least two days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with VU's Growth & Functional Learning Team to design and deliver learning experiences supporting product knowledge across Visa.
  • Leverage technical acumen to translate product information into consumable learning experiences.
  • Work with SMEs to understand learning needs and apply design thinking and adult learning principles to create effective learning solutions.
  • Develop engaging and scalable global learning solutions in various formats (e.g., ILT, vILT, e-Learning).
  • Support user acceptance testing, conduct quality control checks, analyze feedback, and implement changes.
  • Engage with vendors to manage project deliverables and act as a liaison between SMEs and vendors.
  • Collaborate with project management and delivery teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant implementation of learning solutions.
  • Share best practices with a community of learning experience designers and adhere to established design standards.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and identify innovative learning technologies.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or two years with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to develop technical and product expertise for designing learning solutions.
  • Experience in human-centered design principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Agile).
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Rise, Camtasia) and experience in modern learning channels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to translate content into multimedia experiences using graphics and audio/video.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or four years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience designing technical product knowledge training for a large global audience.
