About the position

AAA Club Alliance is hiring for a Learning Specialist to join our team! This position will support the Automotive Services team. The Learning Specialist must have at least ten (10) years of consecutive and current documented wrecker operation experience in law enforcement towing/recovery or at least five (5) years of consecutive and current documented wrecker operation experience in law enforcement towing/recovery with formalized training certifications (i.e. Wrecker Master, TRAA, NATA, Light Duty Towing Recovery). The selected candidate must reside in Oklahoma or Kansas (ideally Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita, or Topeka areas) due to required weekly travel in those regions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training focusing on wrecker operation, recovery, customer service, systems, light service and technology.
  • Conduct training using a variety of facilitation methods: video, virtual, in-person classroom and in-person on location.
  • Create support materials, such as job aids, videos and PowerPoints.
  • Utilize reporting to determine areas that are in the most need of training and schedule accordingly, while optimizing travel and keeping within budget.
  • Build strong relationships with internal fleet team and ACA Contractor Service Network providers.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years of consecutive and current documented wrecker operation experience in law enforcement towing/recovery or at least five (5) years of consecutive and current documented wrecker operation experience in law enforcement towing/recovery with formalized training certifications.
  • Experienced with training and facilitation.
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet occasional requests for evening or weekend support.
  • Ability to display professionalism in all interactions with internal associates and external contractors.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Effective scheduling skills with the ability to organize and coordinate numerous activities.
  • Ability to facilitate training programs with effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiar with the range of industry learning tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the technology which supports the organization's policies and processes.
  • Proficient computing skills including use of the Internet and standard business application software.
  • Ability to apply independent judgment to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to changing work priorities.
  • Skilled project leader with management oversight and guidance.
  • Ability to study previously established guidelines and coordinate activities within a work unit.

Nice-to-haves

  • ASE A6, A8 and Master Certification preferred.
  • IITR preferred - Minimum 5 years Automotive Experience and resume submitted to IITR board.
  • DOT Certification preferred.
