About the position
The Learning Support Teacher at Rohrerstown Elementary School is responsible for implementing approved educational policies and programs, creating a conducive learning environment, and supervising students. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering instruction to both groups and individual students, and collaborating with other staff to address instructional issues. The teacher will also communicate with parents regarding student progress and fulfill additional duties as assigned by the administration.
Responsibilities
- Implement approved policies and programs of the school.
- Establish an environment conducive to learning.
- Supervise students within the classroom and other assigned areas.
- Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction to groups and individual students.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to address instructional and classroom issues.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress and concerns.
- Fulfill other duties associated with the class as assigned by the administration.
Requirements
- Current PA Special Education PK-12 Certification.
- Current PA Criminal History background check.
- Current Federal Criminal background check.
- Current Child Abuse background check.
