About the position

As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing oil and gas well operations, including well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, and monitoring general field operations. This role requires daily surveillance of multiple well sites, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards while managing costs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee oil and gas well operations and conduct well testing.
• Operate and maintain field equipment and facilities.
• Surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of databases regarding production and operations.
• Handle non-scheduled call-outs outside normal business hours.
• Manage various types of wells including flowing, beam pump, plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal.
• Maintain facilities including production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT facilities, water injection plants, and natural gas compression.
• Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems.
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct daily monitoring of multiple well sites by vehicle.
• Handle general housekeeping and field maintenance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Oil & Gas Lease Operator experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all well types.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently without direct supervision.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required.
