About the position

The Lease Sales Representative is a key role within Penske Truck Leasing, focusing on business development and B2B sales in the transportation sector. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, and exceeding revenue quotas through proactive prospecting and consultative selling. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses strong communication skills, and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a pipeline of potential customers to meet or exceed established quotas.
  • Understand customer business models to propose appropriate products, prices, and credit terms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with leasing customers, acting as a transportation consultant.
  • Extend or renew existing contracts and identify growth opportunities in new geographic locations or industries.
  • Utilize a value-based selling methodology in all sales pursuits.
  • Achieve annual quotas set by the Area Vice President or Area Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of executive-level sales experience or sales support role with executive exposure.
  • Demonstrated ability in consultative and strategic selling techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to connect and build rapport with customers at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales CRM.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the service and transportation selling environment.
  • Previous experience presenting to C-level executives.
