About the position

The Lease Sales Representative at Penske Truck Leasing is responsible for driving sales growth by managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities within a designated territory. This role involves engaging with diverse customers to understand their transportation and financial needs, providing tailored leasing solutions, and exceeding monthly revenue quotas through proactive customer interaction and account management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in B2B sales and account management, capable of building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Recommend products to customers based on their needs and interests.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals that meet specific customer needs.
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
  • Identify prospective customers using business directories, leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows.
  • Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Provide account management to lease customers by resolving operational and financial conflicts.
  • Build relationships with leasing customers by acting as a transportation consultant and managing the voice of the customer process.
  • Complete administrative duties related to account management, including follow-ups on accounts receivable and equipment delivery.
  • Manage communication processes between customers and the district.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of sales and customer service experience, preferably in the service and transportation industry.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related area preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and deal with people effectively.
  • Detail orientation, prioritization skills, and organizational skills are required.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
