About the position

The Lease-Up Community Manager at Greystar is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a property, ensuring that it meets financial and operational goals while providing excellent customer service. This role involves managing a team, controlling expenditures, and ensuring compliance with various laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations. The position requires previous lease-up experience and a strong focus on team leadership and property management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Control expenditures by adhering to the approved budget.
  • Oversee the lease enforcement process, including approving resident applications and renewals.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by providing updates and responding to requests.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing complaints and service issues promptly.
  • Gather and analyze market trends to implement effective marketing and leasing strategies.

Requirements

  • Previous lease-up experience is required.
  • Proven supervisory skills to hire, lead, and evaluate team members.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Yardi/OneSite software.
  • Experience in creating and adhering to budgets and fiscal reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fee management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial statements and market trends.
