Ascend Management is expanding its operations and is seeking a Lease-Up Community Manager for the newly re-developed community, The Teale Navy Yard, located in North Charleston, SC. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the property under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer. The Lease-Up Community Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include overseeing leasing techniques, managing resident relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and will be adept at handling administrative tasks, resident retention programs, and maintaining accurate financial records using the Yardi software system. The Lease-Up Community Manager will be expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of leasing techniques and sales methods as designed by Ascend Management, LLC. This includes understanding property rental information and management company policies. The role requires efficient and timely reporting, maintenance, and submission of all administrative forms, files, and reports. The manager will also be responsible for posting rent, reviewing receivables, capturing delinquency, filing eviction actions, and maintaining accurate resident ledgers. A key aspect of this position is ensuring a courteous response to all resident requests and designing programs to enhance resident retention, such as newsletters and social activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the Lease-Up Community Manager will be tasked with reporting any unusual circumstances regarding residents or property, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and seeking opportunities for personal growth and development. The role also involves managing the inventory and ordering of administrative supplies, making recommendations regarding personnel, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor for both oneself and the team. Training and scheduling of on-site personnel will also fall under the manager's purview, making strong leadership and communication skills essential for success in this role.
