About the position

Open House Texas Realty and Investments LLC is seeking a detailed and proactive Leasing Agent to join our high-volume Property Management Company in Dallas, TX. This role is essential for assisting in the growth of our company, and it requires a strong ability to problem-solve, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and receive direction from various team members. The ideal candidate will have experience and familiarity with single-family home management and leasing, as well as a current Texas Real Estate license, which is preferred but not mandatory. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include recording and updating details of prospective tenants into our computer database, liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints, and communicating with prospects and realtors via email and phone. You will also be involved in advertising available properties, screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements, completing lease applications, and verifying application information. Additionally, you will be responsible for accepting rent payments, security deposits, and maintaining documentation effectively. This position requires excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will report to the Property Manager, Leasing, and Regional Manager for weekly tasks and responsibilities, and you will be expected to conduct property tours as part of marketing activities. The role is full-time, with a schedule that includes Monday to Friday and weekends as needed. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in Single Family Property Management. Familiarity with MLS, Propertyware, Salesforce, and Rently is preferred but not required. Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License and Insurance are also necessary. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this is a plus for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Property Manager, Leasing, and Regional Manager for weekly tasks and responsibilities
  • Record and update details of prospective tenants into computer database swiftly
  • Liaise with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns
  • Communicate with prospects and realtors via email and phone
  • Inform field team of any issues
  • Advertise available properties as necessary
  • Screen prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements
  • Complete lease applications and verify application information
  • Inform prospective tenants of results of applications
  • Accept rent payments, security deposits and other applicable fees
  • Maintain and store documentation effectively
  • Examine properties and inform maintenance staff of issues
  • Conduct property tours as part of marketing activities as necessary
  • Inspect properties when tenants take occupation and vacate
  • Record and update details of prospective and existing landlords and tenants into a computer database swiftly

Requirements

  • Active Texas Real Estate License
  • 3+ years experience in Single Family Property Management
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Experience with MLS, Propertyware, Salesforce, and Rently preferred, but not required
  • Reliable transportation with valid Driver's License and Insurance
