About the position

The Leasing Agent/Assistant Manager is responsible for managing leasing activities at the property, providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current tenants, and ensuring smooth operations during the leasing process. This part-time role involves conducting property tours, assisting with lease agreements, and addressing tenant concerns while maintaining accurate records of all leasing activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to potential tenants
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with prospective and current tenants
• Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants and provide detailed information about the property and leasing options
• Assist with the leasing process, including application review, lease preparation, and contract signing
• Conduct background checks and verify rental history of potential tenants
• Collect and process rental payments from tenants
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
• Address tenant concerns and resolve any issues that may arise during their tenancy
• Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities and tenant interactions

Requirements

• Previous experience in leasing or customer service is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Ability to upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants
• Basic knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management
• Proficient in administrative tasks, including file management, data entry, and contract preparation
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
