About the position

As a Leasing Agent/Assistant Property Manager for DeSantis Property Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of properties. This position is primarily based out of our Moon Township office, with the expectation of traveling to various properties as needed. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and management of the properties under your care. You will be the primary point of contact for both property owners and tenants, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns that may arise. In this role, you will physically manage a portfolio of investment properties, ensuring that both owners and tenants receive superior service. You will be responsible for managing inquiries from prospective tenants, showcasing available properties, and facilitating the leasing process. Collaboration within a team environment is essential, as you will work closely with colleagues to coordinate repairs and maintenance through effective vendor management. Regular property inspections will be part of your duties, allowing you to assess the condition of the properties and make informed recommendations regarding rental increases based on market analysis. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks such as managing past-due rent accounts, sending late notices, and filing evictions when necessary. Communication will be key, as you will need to keep property owners informed about repairs, issues, and financial matters. Your approach to property management should reflect a commitment to the well-being of residents while also considering the return on investment for property owners. In case of emergencies, you will be expected to be available on-call to coordinate necessary repairs, ensuring that tenant needs are met promptly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Physically manage a portfolio of investment properties by providing superior customer service to owners and tenants.
  • Manage a list of prospective tenant inquiries and show properties to interested parties.
  • Manage the leasing of available properties.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Manage the work order and vendor coordination for any needed repairs.
  • Inspect the properties on a regular schedule and analyze the market for rental increases.
  • Perform move-in/out and interim inspections.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding visits to the property, inspections and/or work to be performed.
  • Manage past-due rent, send ‘late' notices monthly for past-due accounts as well as file evictions and attend court cases as needed.
  • Communicate with property owners regarding repairs, issues and financials.
  • Manage the properties as if they were your own, taking into consideration the well-being of the residents and the return on investment for the owner.
  • Be available on-call in the event of an emergency to coordinate the repair.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Property Management preferred
  • Knowledge of leasing
  • Have an active PA Real Estate Salesperson license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable with sales
  • Must work well with a team
  • Highly organized
  • Must have valid driver's license and insurance
