About the position

B2B Property Management is seeking an enthusiastic and professional leasing agent to join our team in Cleveland, OH. The leasing agent will play a crucial role in marketing and leasing properties, ensuring that they are maintained effectively while also screening prospective tenants before showing them the properties. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining favorable relations with property tenants, contributing to a positive atmosphere, and portraying a positive image of the company in all activities. The leasing agent will oversee and coordinate the orientation of new tenants and assist with all aspects of leasing activities, making it essential to have strong organizational and multitasking skills. In this role, the leasing agent will be responsible for examining properties and informing maintenance staff of any issues that arise. Advertising available properties and conducting property tours will be part of the marketing activities, and the agent will screen prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements. Communication is key, as the leasing agent will inform prospective tenants of the results of their applications, inspect properties when tenants take occupation and vacate, and assist Section 8 tenants by scheduling necessary inspections. Additionally, the agent will liaise with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns, maintain and store documentation effectively, and accept rent payments, security deposits, and other applicable fees.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Introductory knowledge of the real estate industry, property management principles and relevant legislation.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people skills and time management skills.
