About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Leasing Agent to join our team at Silver Edge Property Management. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property leasing operations, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maximizing occupancy rates. Your role will involve interacting with potential tenants, handling leasing inquiries, and facilitating the leasing process efficiently. A background in sales or leasing is a plus, but we welcome candidates with no prior experience as well. In this position, you will manage property leasing operations, which includes showing available units to prospective tenants and processing lease agreements. You will ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and leasing laws to maintain ethical and legal standards. Utilizing your conflict management skills, you will address tenant concerns and resolve any disputes effectively. Familiarity with OneSite or similar software will be beneficial for lease tracking, rent collection, and generating reports. Collaboration with the sales team will be essential as you implement marketing strategies that attract new tenants and maintain high occupancy rates. Providing exceptional customer service to tenants is a key aspect of this role, as you will promptly address inquiries, maintenance requests, and complaints. Additionally, you will perform real estate administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining accurate records, and updating tenant information. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving will be crucial to your success. You will also coordinate property maintenance tasks with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of rental units.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Creole and English.
  • Knowledge of contract management and lease agreements.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques and customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with OneSite or similar property management software is a plus.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to handle property maintenance issues and coordinate repairs efficiently.
  • Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Understanding of Fair Housing regulations and leasing laws.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in leasing or property management is preferred.
  • Customer service experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
