About the position

We are currently seeking a full-time Leasing Agent for a Class A property managed by Black Realty Management in Spokane, WA. This position involves working closely with the Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 200-unit apartment community. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in maintaining positive tenant-landlord relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of property management tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and have excellent communication abilities. This role requires a proactive approach to managing tenant communications, resolving issues, and enforcing property rules and regulations. The Leasing Agent will also assist in preparing property status reports and participate in the electronic apartment renewal and leasing process using AppFolio. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will conduct apartment showings, organize community events, and manage social media accounts to promote the property. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of the property management team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager of a 200-unit Class A apartment community in Spokane, WA.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive tenant-landlord relationships.
  • Preparation of property status reports and other reports as needed.
  • Assist with the electronic apartment renewal & leasing process (via AppFolio).
  • Work alongside the Community Manager to achieve marketing and leasing goals.
  • Conduct showings and lease apartments.
  • Organize community events and maintain all social media accounts.
  • Collaborate on a daily basis with the on-site team.
  • Assist with written and electronic tenant communications and requests.
  • Assist in resolving tenant issues and complaints.
  • Enforce property rules and regulations.
  • Assist with regular property inspections.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in leasing and/or sales.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple projects and tasks.
  • Knowledge of WA State Landlord Tenant Law and Fair Housing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with team members.
  • Professional demeanor.
