About the position

As a Leasing Professional at InterSolutions, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in finding their ideal apartment while ensuring a smooth leasing process. This position requires a proactive approach to engage with potential residents, understand their housing needs, and effectively communicate the benefits of living in the community. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, greeting them warmly and providing informative tours of the property. Your ability to connect with people and understand their preferences will be key to closing leads and retaining residents. In addition to customer service, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting new residents with all necessary leasing paperwork, including lease agreements, applications, and move-in packets. You will also handle the collection of security deposits and rent, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately. Clear communication of lease and community policies to both new and current residents is essential, as is following up with leads who did not lease to maintain engagement and encourage future interest. Your role will also involve ensuring that apartments are move-in ready by conducting inspections and making any last-minute adjustments as needed. Creative marketing techniques will be employed to attract new residents, and you will manage the lease renewal process to retain existing tenants. Timely responses to calls, emails, and site visits will be expected to maintain a high level of service and professionalism. Successful candidates will likely have backgrounds in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service, showcasing their ability to engage with diverse personalities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and close leads
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks)
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
  • Manage the lease renewal process
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and exposure to social media
  • Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to work weekends as required
