About the position

The Leasing Agent I/COS at EAH Housing is responsible for marketing and leasing the property at Elena Gardens, a 168-unit affordable multi-family housing community in San Jose, CA. This role involves providing resident relations services and ensuring a positive living experience for residents. The position requires a proactive approach to marketing, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and maintaining resident relations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing marketing plans and creating advertisements.
• Provides property tours and shows model units.
• Logs all traffic, completes follow-up, processes rental applications, and prepares leases.
• Collects deposits and conducts unit inspections.
• Conducts market surveys of competition.
• Participates in property inspections, move-in/move-out processes, and aids residents with the move-out process.
• Participates in the re-certification process.

Requirements

• 1+ year of related apartment leasing experience or COS experience.
• Knowledge of affordable housing regulations and practices.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office.

Nice-to-haves

• COS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Section 8 housing preferred.
