About the position

Commercial and Residential Management Group is seeking a Leasing Agent for the Marcola Apartment Homes, a brand new 312-unit lease-up apartment community located in Springfield, OR. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a keen attention to detail. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of apartment leasing, which includes answering phone calls, greeting and assisting residents, conducting tours for prospective tenants, maintaining the community's curb appeal, marketing available units, and accurately preparing leases and other necessary documents. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented team environment and are eager to contribute to the success of the community. The Leasing Agent will work full-time, with a schedule from Wednesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $18 to $20, along with a monthly cell phone stipend of $50. As part of the employment package, the Leasing Agent will be eligible for various benefits starting from the first of the month following 30 days of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, and voluntary insurance options. Additionally, employees can enroll in a 401(k) program with an employer match after 90 days of employment, and they will have access to an Employee Assistance Program from their first day. Paid sick time, vacation, nine paid holidays, and birthday time off are also included, along with opportunities for lease-up bonuses to enhance earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and greet residents and prospects.
  • Conduct tours of the apartment community for potential tenants.
  • Maintain the curb appeal of the property.
  • Market available units effectively.
  • Prepare leases and other necessary documents accurately.
  • Assist residents with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to landlord/tenant laws and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • One year of previous customer service experience is required.
  • One year of previous property management, sales, or leasing agent experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, motivation, and high energy.
  • Awareness of landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • High School degree or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management or leasing is preferred.
