About the position

The Cordish Companies is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant/Agent for a 300+ unit luxury apartment community. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of leasing or industry experience and must be a strong closer with excellent customer service skills. The position requires polished phone etiquette, strong written communication skills, and a professional appearance and attitude. The candidate should possess strong work ethics and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Company leasing expectations and procedures to generate traffic and greet prospective residents.
  • Qualify prospective residents, determine needs and preferences, and professionally present the property and apartment homes.
  • Utilize feature/benefit selling, close the sale, and follow-up.
  • Perform daily outreach marketing.
  • Maintain closing ratio in accordance with Company policy.
  • Perform follow-up and maintain follow-up records in accordance with Company policy.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and handle accordingly.
  • Take resident service requests accurately and route them to maintenance for prompt processing.
  • Ensure the leasing office, clubroom, models, and vacant apartments are clean and present a welcoming image.
  • Physically inspect the property, pick up litter, and report any service needs to the Maintenance team.
  • Complete all lease applications and participate in the verification of applications.
  • Complete all lease paperwork including related addendums.
  • Accept rents and deposits from residents and maintain accurate resident records.
  • Update daily reports concerning notice to vacate, vacancy reports, activity reports, etc.
  • Organize and file all applicable reports, leases, and paperwork.
  • Maintain awareness of property performance goals and progress toward those goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all residents and adhere to all federal and local laws of equality.
  • Attend and assist with planning and executing resident events.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of leasing or industry experience.
  • Excellent sales and origination skills.
  • Superior negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb and understand new information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
