About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with the leasing process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the efficient operation of the property. This role involves conducting property tours for potential tenants and providing detailed information on available units. The Leasing Agent will also process lease applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements. Addressing tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally is a key aspect of this position. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will coordinate move-ins and move-outs, conducting property inspections as needed, and maintain accurate records of rental payments, leases, and tenant interactions. Collaboration with property management is essential to ensure that properties are well-maintained and comply with regulations. The Leasing Agent will utilize sales techniques to secure lease agreements and meet leasing targets. This includes placing ads, generating follow-up emails and calls, and more to drive occupancy rates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a passion for helping others find their new home.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide detailed information on available units
  • Process lease applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, property management, or real estate administration is preferred
  • Leasing at apartment communities over 150 units is required
  • Knowledge of property leasing processes, including Section 8 housing regulations
  • Strong conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes effectively
  • Ability to manage property maintenance requests and coordinate repairs efficiently
  • Proficiency in handling lease contracts, filing systems, and administrative tasks

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer service experience of 1 year
