About the position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team at COMPLETE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT in Birmingham, AL. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with tenants and prospective residents. This entry-level position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, showcasing available units and highlighting features.
• Assist in the application process, including collecting necessary documents and conducting background checks.
• Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, contracts, and tenant files using property management software such as OneSite.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
• Manage lease renewals and terminations while adhering to company policies and local regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to address tenant concerns related to property conditions using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Stay informed about local housing programs, including Section 8, to assist eligible tenants in the leasing process.
• Utilize effective phone etiquette when communicating with clients and vendors.

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• Familiarity with CMMS
• Alabama Real Estate License
• Experience with OneSite or similar property management software
• Strong conflict management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in handling contracts
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in property management

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in property management or leasing is preferred.
