About the position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process of residential properties, ensuring a high level of customer service while effectively promoting our available units. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of property management, and the ability to handle conflicts professionally. The Leasing Agent will also assist in maintaining property standards and fostering positive relationships with residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Negotiate lease terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Manage the application process, including background checks and lease agreements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts as they arise.
• Utilize OneSite software for managing tenant information and lease documentation efficiently.
• Assist in property maintenance coordination, ensuring that all maintenance requests are handled promptly.
• Implement upselling techniques to promote additional services or amenities offered by the property.
• Stay informed about local housing regulations, including LIHTC guidelines, to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities and assist with legal administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in property management or a related field.
• Proficiency in customer service and conflict management.
• Familiarity with property maintenance processes.
• Experience using leasing software such as OneSite.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of local housing regulations, including LIHTC guidelines.
