About the position

The Leasing Agent position at Christian Care Communities is a full-time role based in Louisville, KY, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The primary focus of this position is to assist in the leasing and administrative functions of the property, ensuring a smooth process for prospective residents. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for processing applications, moving applicants into apartments, and engaging in marketing efforts to attract new residents. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, as the Leasing Agent will greet, qualify, and show apartments to potential residents, ensuring they have a positive experience throughout the leasing process. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Leasing Agent will prepare move-in files, take applications, and handle telephone inquiries. The position also involves inputting information into Yardi, a property management software, and conducting resident orientations to familiarize new tenants with their living environment. The Leasing Agent will work closely with the Property Manager to support ongoing leasing and administrative functions, adapting to the evolving needs of the business as required. This role is essential in maintaining the property’s occupancy rates and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Process all applications and move applicants into apartments.
  • Assist the Property Manager with ongoing leasing and administrative functions of the property.
  • Prepare move-in files and take applications.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and greet prospective residents.
  • Qualify and show apartments to prospective residents.
  • Input information into Yardi software.
  • Conduct resident orientation.

Requirements

  • High School/GED required; some college preferred.
  • Experience in the property management industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be highly enthusiastic, sales-oriented, and love working with people.
  • Low-income housing and tax credit experience is a must.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have Section 8 and LIHTC experience.
  • Yardi software experience preferred.
