About the position

The Leasing Consultant serves as the primary sales representative for the property and acts as a customer service liaison for residents. This role involves engaging with potential tenants, managing leasing functions, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for maintaining property standards and adhering to legal guidelines while providing excellent service to customers and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, offer refreshments, and sell property benefits.
  • Request deposits and perform all leasing functions.
  • Respond to calls and inquiries from customers, residents, and vendors professionally.
  • Complete welcome cards, record all traffic, and follow up with all customers.
  • Qualify customers according to property guidelines and adhere to all Fair Housing/OSHA Laws.
  • Collect all required new lease paperwork, fees, and deposits.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly office atmosphere.
  • Conduct daily inspections of models, vacants, and office appearance to ensure readiness.
  • Stay informed about local market trends and conditions, updating the Market Survey monthly.
  • Maintain accurate resident and leasing records.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly leasing and marketing reports as required.
  • Accept service requests and route them to maintenance; conduct service follow-up with residents.
  • Inspect property, pick up litter, and report service needs to the manager or maintenance.
  • Adhere to all local/state laws and comply with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Assist other employees in any apartment management functions.
  • Participate in ongoing continued training as assigned.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and residents.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Proficiency in using office software and leasing management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in property management or leasing roles.
  • Familiarity with local real estate market trends.
  • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse clientele.
