About the position

The Leasing Agent at Blue Magma Residential, LLC is responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents while supporting the property's marketing plan as directed by the Community Manager. This entry-level position requires strong customer service skills and a thorough understanding of leasing processes and community policies.

Responsibilities

• Show and lease apartments to prospective residents.
• Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
• Ensure model and target apartments are ready for show.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and office.
• Be aware of the property's curb appeal.
• Understand lease terms, specifications, and community policies.
• Utilize telephone and sales techniques effectively.
• Stay informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenities.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses.
• Conduct competitive property shopping.
• Develop knowledge of application information and screening processes.
• Conduct outreach marketing at least once per week.
• Develop and maintain a resident retention program under the Community Manager's direction.
• Maintain resident and property files accurately.
• Process administrative forms, reports, and related information efficiently.
• Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
• Assist the Assistant Manager in collecting delinquent rents.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the apartment industry.
• Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Familiarity with Resman management software is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are helpful.
