About the position

The Leasing Agent at Birgo plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of prospective tenants by assisting them in finding their ideal homes. This position involves leasing over 400 multi-family units across seven properties in Lockport, NY, while embodying the company's values of teamwork, humility, integrity, vision, and excellence. The agent will provide exceptional customer service, manage inquiries, conduct property tours, and ensure a smooth move-in process for tenants.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to lease subsidized and market-rate/conventional housing
• Respond promptly to all new inquiries, converting leads to applicants
• Manage calendar, schedule tours, and conduct showings
• Process rental applications quickly and accurately
• Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service during the move-in process
• Verify all move-ins are fully completed and inspected
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance to maintain high occupancy
• Monitor listing postings and advertisements
• Assist property manager with tenant care and tenant retention
• Other projects as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Requirements

• 1-3 years of customer service and/or sales experience
• General knowledge of core concepts and principles of residential leasing
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with AppFolio or ShowMojo (preferred)
