About the position

Commercial and Residential Management Group is seeking a Leasing Agent for the Columbia Village Apartments, a 164-unit apartment community located in Salem, OR. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a keen attention to detail. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to apartment leasing, which includes answering phone calls, greeting and assisting residents, conducting tours for prospective tenants, maintaining the community's curb appeal, marketing available units, and accurately preparing leases and other necessary documents. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for both current residents and potential tenants, reflecting the company's core values and commitment to service excellence. The Leasing Agent will work part-time, with a schedule that includes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 20 hours per week. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $19-$20, along with additional compensation such as a monthly $25 cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement for business-related travel. Benefits are available starting from the first of the month following 30 days of employment, including dental and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, and voluntary insurance options. Employees also have the opportunity to enroll in a 401(k) program with employer matching after 90 days of employment, and they can access an Employee Assistance Program from their first day. Paid sick time is also provided, ensuring that employees have the support they need to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and greet residents and prospects.
  • Assist residents with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct tours of the apartment community for prospective tenants.
  • Maintain the curb appeal of the property.
  • Market available units effectively to attract potential tenants.
  • Prepare leases and other necessary documents accurately.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of previous customer service experience is required.
  • One (1) year of previous property management, sales, or leasing agent experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, motivation, and high energy.
  • Awareness and ability to adhere to all landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing, and safety protocols.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record for work-related errands when needed.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
