About the position

Nova Property Network is a local property management company with 14 properties across the Oklahoma City metro area. We are looking to fill a full-time Leasing Agent position at one of our Moore communities. The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and possess a high degree of customer service, sales, and time management skills. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for greeting prospects, qualifying them by covering all criteria, and recording all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports. You will also be tasked with inspecting models and available market-ready apartments, communicating related service needs to the Property Manager, and demonstrating community and apartment features to clients, applying product knowledge to meet their needs and close sales. Your daily responsibilities will include having prospects complete applications and securing deposits in accordance with company procedures and Fair Housing requirements. You will update availability reports, process applications for approvals, and submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval. Following up with applicants regarding their status and ensuring apartments are ready for residents to move in on the agreed date will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will need to follow up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close the sale again, or refer them to sister communities if necessary. You will represent the company in a professional manner at all times, accept rental payments, and maintain accurate records of daily inspections for the community. Your role will also involve maintaining current resident files, distributing company or community-issued notices, and assisting the management team with various tasks as required. Consistently implementing policies of the community is essential to ensure a smooth operation and a positive experience for residents and prospects alike.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports.
  • File guest cards and maintain according to established procedures.
  • Inspect models and available market-ready apartments, communicating related service needs to the Property Manager.
  • Demonstrate community and apartment features to clients and apply product knowledge to meet their needs and close sales.
  • Have prospects complete applications and secure deposits in accordance with company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Update availability reports and process applications for approvals.
  • Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval and follow up with applicants regarding status.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for residents to move in on agreed dates.
  • Follow up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close the sale again.
  • Refer prospects to sister communities if unable to assist them.
  • Secure new residents' signatures on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in.
  • Orient new residents to the community and assist in monitoring renewals.
  • Distribute and follow up on renewal notices and monitor advertising effectiveness.
  • Gather information about market competition in the area and file it.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Accept rental payments and give them immediately to the Assistant Community Manager.
  • Type leases and complete appropriate paperwork, inputting information on the computer system accurately and timely.
  • Review paperwork with the Community Manager prior to obtaining signatures.
  • Maintain current resident files and record daily inspections for the community.
  • Distribute all company or community-issued notices and maintain accurate monthly commission records on leases and renewals for bonus purposes.
  • Assist management team with other various tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year Leasing Agent experience.
  • Successfully pass a background and drug screening.
