About the position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team at Charter Pointe in Altamonte Springs, FL. This full-time position involves managing property leasing processes, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication with prospective and current residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property leasing and facilities management, along with excellent sales skills to promote our available units.

Responsibilities

• Assist prospective tenants in finding suitable rental properties by providing information on available units and conducting property tours.
• Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, including screening applicants and preparing lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and other relevant documentation using property management software such as OneSite.
• Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating strong conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
• Promote available units through various marketing channels to attract potential tenants.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with current residents to ensure satisfaction and encourage lease renewals.
• Maintain a professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients and vendors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administration is preferred.
• Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively market properties and close deals.
• Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite or similar systems is desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and documents efficiently.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management abilities and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with tenants.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
